THE BOUNDLESS REALITY OF CHRIST
There is more to life than what we see. More than the visible, the tangible, and the familiar. Life in Christ introduces us to a reality far greater than the boundaries of our natural senses, a realm so vast that the more we discover, the more we realise how much more there is to know. Perhaps this is one of the most beautiful things about our existence in Christ: we have been brought into a life that can never be exhausted.
I often think of it as a deep, endless ocean, boundless, fresh and blue. From the shore, you may admire its beauty and think you have seen it, but the ocean is far greater than what appears before your eyes. Beneath its surface are depths you have never touched, wonders you have never encountered, and stretches of beauty that exist far beyond your sight. You could spend a lifetime exploring it and still discover that there are deeper waters waiting for you.
So it is with Christ. There is no end to the loveliness of the life we have received in Him. There are no limits to its powerful depths, no final point at which we can say that we have discovered all that there is to know of Him. Every revelation seems to open the door to another. Every encounter awakens a greater hunger. Every glimpse of His glory makes us aware that there is still infinitely more.
This changes the way we understand life. We are not merely moving through a physical world, governed only by what we can see, touch or explain. We belong to an eternal reality. There are dimensions of grace, wisdom, fellowship, power and glory in Christ that are continually being unveiled to us. The Christian life, therefore, is not a shallow existence of simply believing certain truths. It is an invitation into the depths of God, to know Him, experience Him and continually awaken to the immeasurable riches of the life He has given us.
And what a beautiful thought that is. We will never arrive at the end of Christ. We will never exhaust the wonder of knowing Him. However deep we have gone, there are deeper waters still. However much we have seen, there is more glory to behold. However beautiful our experience of Him has been, there remains something even more glorious waiting to be discovered.
This is our reality in Christ: vast, living, powerful and inexhaustible. There is simply more. More of His love, more of His wisdom, more of His glory, more of His life. And perhaps eternity itself is the grand adventure of discovering just how boundless He truly is.
